Gaming is the main attraction at The Orleans. This is not a Vegas hotel that attracts travelers with great dining or fun nightlife. Instead, its 24-hour casino is the draw for locals and tourists. All of the other on-site amenities are secondary. The casino has 2,600 slots, over 60 table games, a 35-table poker room, and a 60-seat Keno lounge. Oysters Casino is a retro dish that should never go out of style. It’s the type of appetizer that’s so good you wish it was a main course, and maybe it could be, with a hefty salad on the side. To make Oysters Casino, oysters on the half shell are briefly baked in a bath of butter flavored with roasted red pepper, shallots, bacon and a. Make sure that the oyster is loose in the shell before serving. Usually the mignonette sauce is served in a small bowl with a small spoon, alongside the oysters on a platter (or as the French say, 'plateau de coquillages'). People can scoop a small amount of the mignonette (1/8 of a teaspoon or so) onto their oyster. Tasty oysters casino, made with oysters, bacon, and green onion, along with seasonings.
